I've done a range of school activities and festival-type events and can be fairly flexible about your needs, if you want to book me. (Was a teacher once so let me know your needs) I have one 90-minute session that is intended to be a whistle-stop guide to improving a piece of writing that the victims bring in themselves. Another session gives an introduction to the SHARP NORTH/BLOWN AWAY series, allows students to debate some of the issues, and then (in the second part) presents a real-life editing exercise taken from one of these books. All sessions are delivered with a light heart and some degree of humour, and all feature the chance to ask questions at the end. The only thing I'm not that keen on is waffling on about my own life, though happy to talk about how one might get into writing. |
